Tatiana-Julieta Velicu (July, 22 1935 – February, 16 2025), Tania for her family and friends, was born to Constantin Mucică (a tall, handsome officer in the Romanian WW2 army, a true gentleman and a sweet character all his life long, beside having been an exceptionally gifted grandfather) and Geta (Ionescu) Mucică (an elegant rather than pretty petite grey eyed lady, who was an arts teacher and talented painter and a very energetic wife, mother and grandmother). Tania was pretty as hell, with milky white skin, deep golden-green eyes and auburn long hair she used to dye with walnut leaves in her late teens already, because she estimated their natural rich colour to be too frivolous. She also was what today would have been called a high intellectual potential (HIP) child and young woman, and entered the University of her choice without any admission exams, since she had qualified first in national Olympiad in physics, during her senior year in high school. She studied civil engineering and worked in this field as design engineer for more than 15 years after graduation, than studied informatics (first promotion of Romanian informaticians), and became one of the best system analysts in civil engineering and building management in Bucharest. Husband: Corneliu Velicu (HIP, first in the national Olympiads for maths, for Latin and for technical design, during his senior year in high school, and civil engineer himself, her teens boyfriend). They were together for more than 50 years, until my father passed away (august 2009). Children: Anca-Marina Velicu (myself) and my kid brother Radu Mihnea Velicu. She will be dearly missed by her children, her son in law Radu Isfan (my husband) and her other relatives and friends.
